I have been working with kids since I was 12, first training as a mother's helper, then becoming the neighborhood babysitter, then nannying. As a nanny I worked for homeschool families as their teacher, a caretaker for a special needs child, overnight for a nurse, and the longest nannying gig I had was 7 years. I'm still in contact with all the families I've worked for. I've also worked as a teacher for preschool to 1st grade kids at 2 schools, and have worked after school care for all elementary ages at another school. I also have 17 years of experience teaching early levels of piano and 3 years tutoring at Kumon. I even work with kids at a local dance studio, where I take care of the front desk and manage getting kids checked in for their classes. My current full-time job is teaching Tk-1st grade at a small Read more private Acton/Montessori school. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, writing, cross stitching, being with my wonderful family, and hanging out with my cat.
