Hello! My name's Amanda. I'm an eighteen year old college student, soon to be nineteen. I would love to babysit or nanny your children for the summer! I am very passionate about working with children, as I plan to work in art or music therapy for children and adolescents one day. I've had a variety of experiences. I am the founder and director of a children's performing group, Dynamics, which began at St. John the Baptist church. I have worked with the 20+ kids who are a part of it for three years, putting together shows, teaching them how to sing, dance, and act, and playing games and activities with them that teach skills such as confidence building, teamwork, respect, and more! I have also been a volunteer of the Folsom Public Library for four years, as part of their Summer Reading Program. Through the program I encouraged children to Read more read, as well as helped out with the fun events for children. This year, I am actually helping out as a coordinator, planning events as well as doing the evening storytimes for kids! Lastly, I love theatre! I have been performing in theatre for a long time, and have done a lot of children's theatre, performing both with and for children. Last summer I was an intern, musical director, and choreographer for a theatre summer camp for kids at Sutter Street Theatre. In the world of babysitting, my most recent job was babysitting for one of my professors in college. I have also babysat a number of times, babysitting up to eight kids at a time. Please let me know if you are interested in hiring me as your childrens' babysitter or nanny! I will be on summer break until late August, and am willing to work with you and your schedule :o)
