I have been babysitting since the age of 14, starting with families from my church. Often while watching one family's children, the neighborhood kids would come by, and I'd end up with six or more children to keep track of! I have worked with kids of all ages, all the way from newborns to teenagers. My first long-term position was with a family of 4 kids ranging. Both parents worked full time, so I was with them all day. I was responsible for getting them ready for the day, making their meals, and ensuring everyone got naps when needed. I also did light house cleaning (picking up after the kids, washing dishes, and sometimes laundry). The children and I engaged in fun and educational activities, singing songs, dancing, playing outside, reading, arts and crafts, and going to the park. I also worked as a live in nanny for 5 years Read more with a family of 6 children. I am a very patient person, so maintaining so many kids has never been a problem for me. Even though I do not have any children of my own (unless you count my adorable 1-year-old niece!), I absolutely love working with kids. I have had several other jobs in a variety of fields, but I am always drawn back to nannying. I love being able to give children the one on one time that they need and support and encourage their exploration of the world. I am a very kind and compassionate person and would love the opportunity to be your nanny or babysitting part time.
