Hello! My name is Mikayla and I am a local here in Santa Barbara. On my free time I enjoy going to new restaurants, going surfing with friends, road trips, finding new hidden gems around town, and quite honestly anything outdoors! I began babysitting when I was about 14 years old and have been doing so since then. Throughout high school I spent my summers volunteering at the UCSB sports camp where I was able to connect with the kiddos, play sports, do arts and crafts, and ultimately teach them new life lessons which was some thing I adored. My senior year of high school I worked at the Montecito club as a child care provider and absolutely loved it! I’m currently in college studying Pre-med working my way up to eventually become a surgical pediatric oncologist. I love children and watching them grow/being a part of their lives , Read more so it was a no-brainer I definitely had to include them within my career. I am very involved in my church where I spend lots of time doing youth ministry and spend a great amount of my days with the kiddos! I am both CPR and AED certified, including infants. Throughout my years of education, I have always been part of athletics, ASB, clubs, and overall very involved within the school and thrived off of human interaction. I am currently a private babysitter where I watch a 4 and 7 year old and have absolutely grown a great love for that age range! From science experiments and arts and crafts to beach days and sports practice, I love running around with the kids and having fun but also relaxing and doing smaller activities together. I do have my own source of transportation and am willing to assist with pick up, drop off, and anything that may need my car.
