Hello! My name is Allie and I am a third-year college student who is looking for a full time care position over the summer (May-August). I am a patient, helpful, warm, empathetic person who loves working with children and pets. Motivated by my passion for caring for others, I am studying to be an Occupational therapist. I have made it a priority to work with a variety of children over my time in college to better prepare me for my work as an occupational therapist. During the school year (starting in Feburary 2022), I work at an afterschool day care program near my college. As a part of a team, I provided excellent care to 50+ children at once, ranging in age from 4 to 12. I supervised children participating in physical activity, learning, and social skills with peers as well as maintaining and fostering positive and constructive interactions with Read more staff, families, and children. I led activities such as crafts, games, and snack time. Last summer (May 2023-August 2023), I worked for the City of Duarte as a Recreation Leader. In this position, I assisted in sports, arts and crafts, games, and play activities for youth of all ages. I also developed and implemented engaging and inclusive programming to promote physical activity, social interaction, and community engagement. Childhood is a time of critical social, physical, and emotional development and I believe that my passion and experience caring for children and helping them learn is a testament to my ability to serve your family in whatever way is needed.
