Hi, my name is Sydney! As a passionate and experienced caregiver, working with children brings me immense joy and fulfillment. Witnessing the growth of young minds is a truly rewarding experience that never ceases to amaze me. There is an incredible aspect to working with kids - they have a unique way of teaching you valuable lessons about yourself that you might not have discovered otherwise. My primary goal in seeking a nanny position is to establish genuine connections with the children and their families. This past year, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as a full-time nanny for a wonderful family of four on the Upper West Side. As I navigated the daily joys and occasional hurdles of their lives, I discovered the profound impact of dedicated care and support on a child's growth and development. I had the pleasure of serving as a horseback riding instructor at my childhood sleepaway summer camp this summer. As I shared my passion for horsemanship with campers, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of outdoor activities and how they foster personal growth and self-confidence. Not only did I teach riding skills, but I also instilled in the children the values of responsibility, perseverance, and compassion through their interactions with these powerful animals. This immersive summer camp role allowed me to combine my love for the outdoors with my passion for teaching, nurturing young minds, and inspiring them to embrace new challenges with enthusiasm.
