Hello there! A Bit About Me: * I'm Becca, I'm 29 years old. Hello :) * Oldest of four other younger brothers and sisters. * I have a semi-functiong autistic brother who is now 25 years old. Because of such, I have lots of training and experience with special needs children. Even children with Behavioral problems. I'm familiar with children who also have neurological problems and 'silent' or absence seizures which I’ve been taught to handle. * I spent 7 years volunteering as a special olympics coordinator. * I have 4 years experience working at a day care & as a camp counselor. * I currently work in Film/TV as an associate producer and look for babysitting/nanny work in-between gigs. * My hours are flexible & currently completely open. Experience: * In High school I worked with the A+ program to help tutor kids after school. I would be more Read more than happy to help a child out with school work if need be. * Worked as a teachers aid for two years for grades 3-5. I worked with the teachers to help coordinate crafts and lessons and monitor field trips. * I'm athletic- I love to run/hike, play hockey, baseball/softball etc... I'm not above getting messy at the playground! * With my experience as camp counselor I learned how to deal with mild allergies, bug bites, the usual scrape and bumps, along with how to give children their medications. Being a camp counselor we had to create our own schedules to fill 7 hours of the day- Two of those hours included swim time- I’m NOT a trained lifeguard, however, I did have to learn certian procedures on how to handle large groups of children (20 or less) in a pool both deep and shallow, at a time. In my last year at camp I became Craft Organizer creating games, crafts and sport activities for the children. What You Want to Know: * I drive a 2014 Ford Fiesta, fully insured with esurance. I have no tickets or history against myself as a driver. I am willing to transport kids. * I would love to meet your children prior to me babysitting them, for everyone’s comfort if need be. * I actually love the older children, I don’t find them difficult to interact with- So if you got an older child you are in LUCK! But I'm good with babies too. :) I'm Willing To: * Help clean around the house * Help with homework and school projects * I'll clean the kid too, heh *Transport * Take on daily field trips... like Griffith, the Zoo, Science Center or anywhere else! :)

Report

Trustline is California's official background check for license-exempt child care providers (i.e. babysitters and nannies) and the only authorized screening program in California with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and access to the California Child Abuse Central Index. The Trustline registry toll-free telephone number is 1-800-822-8490.

Pursuant to Section 1596.859 of the Health and Safety Code, parents have the right to receive information regarding any substantiated or inconclusive complaint about licensed child care providers. That information is public and can be acquired by visiting the California Department of Social Services' Internet Web site at "www.cdss.ca.gov".
