Hello! Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. My name is Elizabeth and I'm a 23-year-old San Diego college student. I'm currently on the path towards becoming an English teacher-all the credit goes to my incredible mother who is a teacher and the best life teacher I could've ever asked for! I've been the neighborhood, family, and friend 'sitter/nanny' for most of my life. I love reading, traveling, swimming, giving back to the less fortunate, crafting, cooking, music/theatre, and spending time with my family and friends. I've worked for all sorts of families, nurseries, as a camp counselor/leader during my middle-high school years, and in the childcare center when special events/conferences were held at the local resort nearby. I have excellent time management, leadership and communication skills, a great sense of humor, am heavily family oriented, flexible, punctual, and reliable. While working with families who come from all backgrounds (medical, military, educators), I've become comfortable and familiar with 'before school' routines (get the kids fed and ready for school), after school pickup/night routine (homework, dinner, and the usual before bedtime tasks), after-school activity transportation (soccer practices, swim practices, etc.). I've also taken kids to explore aquariums and amusement parks during the summers and weekends. I'm more than happy to run errands, meal prep, and to be of further assistance/support-including date nights! Growing up as an only child in a USMC family, we always lived by the phrase, "it takes a village" because of all the overwhelming love and support my family and I received during my childhood when my dad would be deployed and even later on when my parents divorced and I was under my single mom's wing-and with that being said, I love to give back through this job.
