I'm a 27 year old female with over fifteen years of childcare and nanny experience. I have worked with children of all ages, from newborn to teenage. I am a former Young Life junior high youth leader (www.younglife.org) and have exceptional skill in relating to teenagers and finding ways to keep children entertained. I have the most experience in caring for young children ages newborn-seven. I have particular experience working with autistic and special needs children, and can utilize basic ASL signs. I have experience working in a one to one attendant care/respite capacity. I am familiar with ABA techniques. I currently possess CPR and first aid certification, and formerly possessed lifeguard certification. I have a valid CA driver's license and my own transportation. I am insured with a clean record. I prefer to stay within the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, but can commute to the Hollywood, Silverlake Read more areas. Further commute to the South Bay or Westside communities may require additional compensation. I am open to light housework - laundry, dishes, picking up after children. I'm happy to cook for your children. I am down-to-earth, open-minded, honest, responsible, dependable, artistic, patient, kind. I am looking for a family along the same lines. I am not looking for a "stiff" family who does not expect their kids to act like kids. With me, your children will laugh, act silly, color pictures, run around and play with toys. Art is a favorite activity of mine. I am also a well-educated writer and am happy to help tutor your school-aged children in creative writing and reading comprehension. My fee is $9-12/hour, depending on the amount of children in my care and any necessary chores. I'm looking for at least three days a week, but am open to one night only scenarios if you or your partner just need an occasional babysitter.
