Hi all! My name is Ryn (they/them). I am a 26 year old seeking a short term job for a family in need of consistent childcare. I grew up in the Bay, and have worked with kiddos for 10+ years—my experience includes work as a camp counselor, special educator, leadership program director, emotional and behavioral support administrator, and an assistant director of a sleep-away camp. At Oberlin College, I studied the psychology of learning, writing a thesis on inclusive (neurodiversity-positive) classrooms with an emphasis in music education. I believe the best learning happens when kids are given agency to make their own mistakes, and create their own success. For me, caring for kids means letting young people lead, and of course, valuing the power of fun and play! Resume and references available upon request. Rates are sliding scale/negotiable based on hours, number of kids, age of kids, commute, etc. Let’s Read more chat to see if we are a good fit/how I might best work with your family’s needs!
