Hello, my name is Ofelia Montalvan, I'm 41 years old, I have a nine year old son. I've always been in the care business. In 1996 I began working as a preschool teacher assistant. Eventually I became a head preschool teacher for a private catholic school located in the heart of LA, the company l's name is Company of the sisters of Mary. I worked for them for 14 years of my life. Loved the experience of working with children. Unfortunately I was laid off due to lack of enrollment from children and eventually the school closed. After working for them I got a great offer working for a very nice family in the same area, working as a nanny was a new challenge for me as it was my first experience. I started working for them right after I was laid off from the preschool with a beautiful 1 Read more year old little girl, I've been there with them for the past 5 years and love it!! In this current year a had a lot of changes, I moved to the city of Palmdale where I live with my fiancé and for that reason is why I'm seeking for another loving family I could be part off, by taking care of their precious treasure. Due to my long commute to LA everyday is why I have to make this change. I'm seeking for a family closer to home. I'm willing to drive 30 miles from where I live. As you can see I have plenty of experience, I'm CPR and first aid certified. I have a perfect driving record. Excellent references. I'm currently enrolled in an online program to acquire my early childhood education bachelors degree. And have taken child development classes before I started my program. I love doing arts and crafts, reading and taking the little ones to educational field trips such as museums, libraries, parks, and walks around the neighborhood.
