* I switched my profile over to here from care.com, due to them asking for a monthly fee after previously being a free service. Before our move to California two years ago, I worked for two years as an Infant and Toddler Teacher. The age range of children in my classroom was from six weeks to 18 months old, taking care of five children at one time. I assisted in classrooms with children up to age four. As the teacher in my classroom I was responsible for my environment, the daily care of my children, curriculum planning, outdoor play, monthly newsletter, and other additional responsibilites. I also worked very closely with my director on multiple events. I have taken courses in Education, as well as Early Childhood Education. I interned at the same facility where I was a teacher, being offered that job halfway through the completion of over 120 Read more hours. I've accumulated over 50 hrs. in professional development to continue my education. I've had first aid, CPR, and fire safety training. I've babysat on the side ever since I was young. I had six families that were my regular clients in Pennsylvania before moving. Currently I work part-time for four families, which creates a full-time schedule... I'll be losing one of my families soon (mom is being given the option to work from home), therefore I'm looking for a new family to fill their place. My technique involves mimicking how families interact with their child(ren), while at the same time forming my own bond with them. I would describe myself as flexible, reliable, cooperative, resourceful, dedicated, and supportive. My resume, references, & a California background check are available upon request.
