I decided to get into babysitting because I love being around kids and it was also a good way to pass time. I have babysat for various families within my neighborhood and I have also worked with children via a Teaching Assistant position at an elementary school as well. I’ve been babysitting since I was 16 years old and I am now 26 and a licensed Physician Assistanr. I have babysat children from 8 months old to 14 years old. I would take care of a variety of tasks such as picking up from school/after school programs, taking out to parks or various other places, making dinner, helping with shower/bath time, reading, and getting into bed. I also have a lot of newborn experience because I regularly took care of my nephew all the way from when he was a newborn to 3 years old now. I have a clean driving record and am fluent in English. I have over 10 years of professional childcare experience working within theater facilities, preschools, daycare programs, after school/summer camps. My most recent experience with children was over 600 hours of student teaching in a Kindergarten classroom within IUSD. I also have several experiences working as a full-time private nanny for an individual baby/toddler. For these positions I was tasked with supervising and entertaining, feeding and changing, taking the child to the park or music class, nap time and bath time, light laundry/dishes/housework and so on. I am comfortable with the typical nanny/sitter duties! In my personal time I enjoy spending as much time as I can on the beach, doing almost any kind of arts and craft (specifically building fairy houses, a sacred hobby of mine), and caring for my 5 year old Maltipoo, Bailey!
