I have been a foster parent for eighteen years and I am still fostering because I love it. I have had many different types of children in my home. I wouldn't say babysitting but I have had the opportunity to spend time with the children placed with me. I drove buses for twelve years but I had children of my own and it was taking away to much of my time so I applied for a caregiver job working for disabled children and adults. I would love to continue working with children because I create a bond that allows them to grow as well as I have and to continue learning the different needs children may have. There is no handbook on being a parent but it does take a village and I am willing to add to someone's village if I can.
