Hi! My name is Marena. I grew up in the suburbs of Toledo, Ohio and began babysitting/caring for children at the age of 12. At that age, most typically working parents would call me to receive their kids from the buses after school, feed them dinner and supervise homework time. Spending weeknights with the kids turned into full-time nannying on weekends as I got older, whenever parents would go out of town. I'm now 21, I moved to Los Angeles in April 2014. I developed an earnest passion for teaching and caregiving at a young age and while I have been out of regular practice since I was about 18, I would like to revive those interests as a full-time nanny. The most amount of children I have been responsible for at a time is 3. I'm experienced with 6 months to 10 years. I really excelled at English and Read more writing in school, and it's very important for me to cultivate a love of reading in the kids that I spend time with. I also really like to take them outdoors, walking, hiking, biking, and swimming are some of my favorite hobbies. I've been told I'm very patient and attentive. I love to listen just as much as I love to teach. I attended two different colleges, a total of three years. Ultimately I earned an Applied Sciences degree in Film and Video Production Technology (camera, basically). I graduated on the Dean's List with a perfect attendance record. I don't currently hold any childcare-specific certifications, though I took college courses that focused on Biology and First-Aid.
