Hi! I am a fully qualified teacher from England who now lives in sunny LA! We relocated due to my husbands job now I too need to find work. I have a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Psychology, as well as my Teaching certification. I have several years of childcare experience, as a young adult (16+) I worked part time in a nursery owned and run by my aunt. At university I volunteered with children with special needs, after university i worked in a day care center with babies up to 3 year olds. I also worked as seasonal nanny in the French Alps with babies from 6 months upwards. As part of my gap year I traveled to Senegal in West Africa where I worked in an orphanage with infants aged 2 - 6 months, this gave me invaluable baby care experience. After Senegal I traveled Read more to Swaziland where I worked as a volunteer teacher and volunteered in the children's unit of a hospital. After returning from traveling I worked in an ABA school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I then went on to complete my teacher training in London and worked in an inner city school in a low socio-economic area. All of these experiences have made me the enthusiastic and creative education I am today. I love teaching, I also love being a nanny as one can get to become part of a family. I love dogs (we have two ourselves) so would be very happy in a home that included pet care. If I were to nanny for your family I would be creative in my approach and carefully plan age appropriate activities that are fun but of educational benefit.
