Hi all, I'm very excited to be joining SitterCity. Let's get started! To begin, my name is Regina Kim, 25 years old, college grad (psych/studio art double major at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR). I was raised in South Pasadena, CA and grew up babysitting my way through high school and working at an indoor children's playground. I loved working with kids so much that I traveled to Seoul, Korea to be an English teacher (pre-k-6th grade) for a year and a half. My experience there ultimately whetted my appetite for travel, food, and culture. After a year and a half in Seoul, I took off for the next year and a bit eating my way through most of East Asia, SE Asia, S. Asia, Australia and New Zealand. My recent return to LA was markedly bittersweet and definitely unnerving, but nonetheless exciting in many ways. I am Read more currently working with children as a behavioral therapist, but will unfortunately have to stop soon due to conflicts in scheduling since I've just started a fantastic part-time internship at a non-profit in Koreatown. However, I hope to continue working with kids in my free time as a nanny/babysitter. Looking forward to meeting you!
