Hi, my name is Veronika and I have 13 years of experience as a nanny. I have experience with children from 1 month old up to 15 years old. Knowledge of RIE. I was an au pair in England for 3 years where I took care of two girls (8 and 9). Responsibilities: get the girls ready for school, help them with breakfast, walk them to school, drop off and pick up, take them to activities, cook dinner and ensure their homework is done. Apart from that, I walked the girls to and from activities, we worked on projects, crafts, went to libraries, went to parks and so on. My U.S. experience is below. I took care of two girls were 3 and 5 years old at the time. My responsibilities: wake them up, get them dressed, make breakfast, pack lunch, school and other activities drop offs and pick ups, Read more help with homework, cook dinner, bath time and get them ready for bed. When they had free time we went to parks, playgrounds, I coordinated playdates with friends, we worked on many projects from sewing, building, painting, creating books, jewelry, planting flowers, and more. Other activities were riding bikes, playing outdoor games, etc. I took them to their doctor/dentist appointments as well. For the last 6 years, I've been helping one family to take care of their baby boy. He is 7 years old now, and I can see how much he has changed. We played and read many books, we went out, we made up our own games and plays, we rode bikes, and more. I also ensured he was on his schedule with meals, snacks and naps. From time to time I stayed over for his bedtime which included preparing his dinner, bath and bed. There were many indoor/outdoor activities, learning about nature and things around us, and discovering the world. Besides that, I've been babysitting my friends' children (usually babies). I've helped them to do potty training, change diapers, bottle feeding, tummy time, etc. In between some of my nanny jobs I had other families where I always tried to implement some fun and learning, and my responsibilities were usually school drop off/pick up, healthy snack preparation, bath times, organizing their clothes, etc. When I take care of children I like to take them outside to play games or to go to parks and playgrounds. If we stay inside I like them to do some craft, play games, be creative, read and learn something new. I think keeping a balance in between education and play time is important for their growth.

Veronika was absolutely amazing! If you're looking for Mary Poppins, hire Veronika. She was the sweetest with our two boys and constantly took them to do fun things in LA. I don't know if she's still babysitting, but we miss having her as part of our family.
