My name is Conor Murphy and I am committing to fostering the creativity, intellingence, open-mindedness, and mental and physical health of your child. I have always lamented the fact that parents almost exclusively hire female nannies, and have recently come to the conclusion that I am at my best when working closely with individual children. First, nearly all of my experience involves working with kids in some capacity. I have facilitated support groups for children grieving the death of a parent or sibling, led arts workshops with teenagers addicted to narcotics, and worked as an academic tutor for AP subjects and in the realm of general study skills and organization. Second, I double majored in Theater Arts and Cognitive Science with a specific emphasis on early childhood development. It became clear throughout my education that the way we are nurtured in our formative years has a dramatic impact on our Read more thought processes and happiness as adults. Third, I play basketball on a regular basis, snowboard and kayak frequently, and enjoy finding hikes and enjoying nature in the LA area. Fourth, I have been working as an Executive Assistant for the past two years, organizing calendars, doing data analysis, providing executive assistance, and acting as the on-site technician in the non-profit sector. Fifth, I am near fluent in Spanish and have traveled through Spain and Portugal speaking the language conversationally with ease. Last, I would love to develop a great relationship with a loving family, and get to know your children as they become adults.
