I am originally from Wisconsin. I have a BA in developmental psychology and over 30 ECE units. Education is important to me and I value learning and sharpening my own skills as well as facilitating learning. I am a career nanny and I love what I do! I am fully vaccinated and follow CDC guidelines. I am CPR/first aide certified, with a clean driving record, background checked through LAUSD and can provide references upon request. My latest position was with a RIE family. Within this position I created a small pod to help facilitate learning and social-emotional development during school closures. The children’s ages ranged from 4-7. My role from July of 2017 until May of 2021 was full time with 2 active boys, now ages 9 and 7. I acted as household manager; coordinating schedules, shopping, scheduling repairs and other personal assistant duties. This position ended due to the Read more pandemic as the parents did not return to work in person so they no longer had a need for a full-time nanny. Prior to these last two positions, I have had long commitments with three other families, two of which were high- profile. The ages of these children ranged from 10 months to 11 years. I have experience with developmental and behavioral issues ranging from ADHD, anxiety disorders, ODD and dyslexia. I thrive with open-communication. I am a strong believer in working with the parents to adopt the same parenting methods by using similar language and implementing plans for increasing developmental skills or dealing with unwanted behaviors. I have experience teaching after school enrichment courses for the Star program and Movies by Kids. Eventually I plan to open my own alternative preschool with a dynamic play center. Currently, I am searching for positions where I can nurture and teach the child/children that I am working with. I am also looking forward to helping a family in general; with cleaning, meals, laundry, driving and tending to any beloved furry friends.
