I have been a nanny on and off since I was 19 years old. I initially started to work with military families as their nannies helping bring their children to school, prepare and cook all meals, take children to all afterschool events, oversee and help with homework, early childhood development, and potty training. With this experience, I started to work with other families in the Washington D.C area. With more freedom from the military bases came more freedom to take children to different outings like the parks, hiking trails, museums, and libraries. Because parents may be busy, I also have taken care of doing the laundry cleaning common areas or other areas asked to clean, doing the dishes, and other cleaning duties around the house. In college I went to school for Athletic Training (rehabilitation and care for athletes), nursing, and business. With these skills sets, I have been able Read more to help and nurture children in many different ways whether it’s pertaining to diet, health, exercise, or school work. Discipline with growing children is very important. During my experience I have learned the healthy balance of strict rules with and soft yet firm approach to the adherence to the rules and punishment that may occur if necessary. Your children will always be my number one priority and to work with your family will always be my pleasure.
