Hello! My name is Vanessa. I am a 23 year old young woman with a passion for early childhood education. I'm currently striving to keep some sense of normalcy in the lives of families during this challenging time. I am eager to bring the classroom to your children if need be, so that nobody has to miss a beat. I believe children have the ability to quickly adapt and hope that in no time we are all able to conform to this current way of learning and make the very best of it. I believe it is very important for young children to be able to express themselves through their own creativity and imagination. I focus on encouraging creativity to be more about the process over the final product. It is so rewarding to be able to watch children’s minds grow and seeing the world through their eyes is a Read more blessing. There is so much seriousness to life, I want them to hold onto the simplicity and innocence as long as possible. I adore watching the social, emotional, and mental growth. All accomplishments are big wins in my eyes. A little about myself and past work experience: I am the oldest of over 30 cousins! I taught swim lessons to children ages 6mo-10yr from 2013-2014. I have 15 Early Childhood Education Credits and counting! I was a full time preschool teacher in San Francisco for almost two years before moving to Los Angeles towards the end of 2017. I nannied for a family in Sherman Oaks for two years and was employed by LAUSD while working as a teachers aide in a kindergarten and third grade classroom in Bel Air Hills. Through the pandemic I homeschooled students ages 6-9 full time. Something that initially drew me to working with children as a full time career is their amazing sponge-like minds! I'm big on teaching togetherness, empathy and leadership skills, as well as experiential learning and focus on creating a calm, safe environment.
