Hi my name is Christina, but I also go by Tina. I'm 31 years old and I'm currently working at a preschool in Santa Monica in both the toddler classroom and 2 year old class for the past year and a half. I've also worked at 3 other schools taking care of infants and toddlers so as of right now, it's been 7 years total. During the first year of the pandemic in 2020, I was no longer working at a school because it got temporarily shut down. Shortly after, I met a couple who needed me to watch their 2 young children, ages 1 and 3 years old, because they still had to go to work. My duties consisted of multiple feedings throughout the day/meal preparation, changing diapers/potty training, putting them down for naps, supervising them during indoor/outdoor play, and planning fun activities to stimulate their minds visually and Read more verbally. In addition, I provided household services such as cleaning/organizing various rooms, doing laundry, and running errands if necessary including grocery shopping. I was also a nanny for another family for 4 years, prior to working in childcare/preschool centers. There were 2 children under my care, ages 6 months and 2 years old when I first started. I performed similar tasks as mentioned above and when the older child was ready to go to Kindergarten/First grade, I dropped him off and picked him up from school. Lastly, I've tutored children in either English Language Arts or Math for 3 school years, grades K-9, in the evenings while I worked as a nanny or at a school during the day. By the way, I attended Cal State Fullerton where I majored in Psychology and minored in Child and Adolescent Development. I didn't graduate due to unfortunate circumstances, but I only have 1 semester left and it's never too late to go back someday. What I do have is 15 units in Early Childhood Education which has allowed me to work in professional settings all these years. As you can tell, I have a lot of experience/education teaching and taking care of children and I truly do enjoy it! Young children bring me so much happiness and just seeing their smile, hearing them laugh or getting a hug makes my day. At this point in my life, I really want to be a full-time nanny again so I plan on leaving my current job as soon as I can. I believe any child(ren) I meet in the near future will benefit from all the love and knowledge/wisdom I have to offer. I hope to hear from you soon. :)
