Hello! If you're looking for the perfect match for your family, I might be the one! I am a creative, organized, kind, caring person. I am a Portland, OR transplant and have lived in LA for the last 4 years. I originally moved here to pursue acting and comedy, but most recently worked in management for a Los Angeles based health/wellness spa for 3 years. Before moving here, I worked for 4 years as a professional housecleaner, with a focus on high end clientele in Oregon. I worked retail for a baby/toddler focused company before that, and spent 2 years learning Childhood Practicum and Early Childhood Development. I consider myself a student of life and am always taking new classes and reading books to expand my knowledge. I eat a plant based diet, and I try to take care of my body through meditation and regular exercise. In my free Read more time, I enjoy traveling, being in the outdoors, watching improv, and spending time with my dog, Juniper. I have worked with children in many capacities, as a sitter, childcare worker at a daycare, nanny, camp counselor for Girl Scouts, and as a volunteer dance camp counselor. I have lots of experience with food allergies, so if your child/ren have any intolerances or allergies, they will be in good hands with me. What sets me apart from other sitters is my ability to listen and adapt to an individual child's needs, as I believe that a "one size fits all" mentality should never apply to the development of babies and children. I am highly communicative and would thrive in a setting where I feel that I can communicate freely and openly with the whole family. I think it's just as important to have a close relationship with the parents as it is with the kids. I am very passionate about mental health, and think it's very important that children feel seen and heard and are able to express themselves in a constructive way. I enjoy being around little ones and learning from them. It's so easy to get overwhelmed and caught up in "adult" life, but kids have the ability to bring out the inner child in me. Play is an essential part of learning, and I put an emphasis on playing creatively and actively to stimulate those developing brains. As your sitter I will be highly adaptive to how you prefer your children to be raised and meet those standards. Please reach out if you think we might be a good fit and I look forward to meeting you!
