Hi! I am looking for a babysitting or nanny job. I have over 4 years of experience with caring for children ages 1-8. I love interacting with children and providing care for them. I am also able to help cook or clean as needed. I also own a reliable car and have a drivers license. I am a 23 year old student at csun looking to graduate with my degree in psychology in may 2024. I am looking to nanny to save up some money and spend some time exploring career options for myself/ apply to graduate school. I would say my teaching and babysitting style is very Reggio, I like to take topics children are interested in and extend them, for example if your child is interested in spiders I would extend their interest into a learning experience of reading books about spiders, going on nature walks to find spiders, drawing spiders, spelling words involved with spiders (eyes, legs, hair), and extending their interest into a learning experience. I like to speak to children like they are humans, no baby talk, and explain words and the plans of the day. Also giving them responsibility’s and teaching them independent skills. I understand 2-3 years old is big on social emotional development so I would emphasize patience skills, sharing, taking turns and using words, and taking on some responsibility. Some fun facts about me, I love to cook, paint, do ceramics, I love animals ( I own 1 cat and 2 dogs), my favorite place to visit in the summer is Palm Springs, I love to shop, and I currently am working on a project car ( classic 67 vw bug).
