Hi there! Thank you for taking a peak at my profile! My name is Alie, I’m 24, and I’ve been taking care of children since I was a child myself! 😊 I began working with children as a preteen by volunteering at VBS and my local library. It was around 14 that I got my first paid babysitting gig when I started watching my sister’s children on the weekend! I continued to causally babysit for families throughout high school and then at 21 I got my first “big girl” childcare job! I started working for 24 Hour Fitness in their Kids Club where I quickly rose to their top position of Head Supervisor until we were closed down and I was unfortunately laid off. At that point, many of the parents, their children, and myself, transitioned to the Child Center inside of Lifetime Fitness, where I once again worked as Read more a supervisor. I worked there until we were shut down because of the pandemic and then I temporarily switched to a different career path. In 2022 I began my first full time Nannying gig working for a family with 4 kids and a newborn. It was incredibly fulfilling but just as taxing and ínstense. I have been doing this until about the last month, and have decided I’d like to find work with a bit lighter of a load. During my time in these positions I was responsible for children aged 6mo-12yrs and have had up to 8 children in my care at once. I have been responsible for cooking and housework, homework help, caring for family pets, assistant/organizational work, etc. I also have experience with pick up and drop off from schools and other activities. (and a killer Disney playlist for the car rides if I do say so myself 😉) I am CPR certified and certified in telling funny stories. I am COVID vaccinated and boosted! I love making music with children, art, playing games, and just talking about what’s going on inside their heads. To me, children are the 8th wonder of the world, I love children so, so much, and working with children has been the most fulfilling part of my life this far. I am so excited to be re-entering the childcare field in this flexible setting.
