I am currently a part time-student (online) at Santa Monica City College majoring in Sociology, minoring in Child Psychology. I have taken childhood development classes to better my understanding of their physical, cognitive, social, emotional growth, and development. I have work with children aged 7m-13yrs! 5 years of Professional Experience and can provide references, after speaking! I believe it is important to teach kids how to advocate for ones self, and self-expression. Children are so powerful and deserve to be raised with confidence and support! For the infant, I have helped hit milestones like clapping/waving, army crawl to now crawling!! With their T, I always ensure to have quality time when we have our days together and plan art projects, or activities I know will stimulate their mind while keeping them interested and engaged. I sing and dance with no shame and think it's important to engage w/imagination. I also Read more help with light cleaning like baby laundry, prepping bottles, meal prepping/cooking for the kids, introducing new foods and organizing/cleaning their play spaces and rooms. Children are so powerful and deserve to be raised with confidence, self love, and motivation. I believe in patience, and being able to try to understand and learn the child's specific personal needs. I want to be able to help everyone understand emotions, and teaching them emotional regulation.. I am super big on mental health in my personal life and think compassion and understanding goes a long way. I am a great multi-tasker and think it is important to be hands on but also allow kids to have independence to create their individuality. I am pretty flexible when it comes to scheduling also, with my classes being online. I am comfortable with all furry animals and driving. I also have my own car seat.
