Having spent the past 10 years and most of my adult life as an educator and nanny in the UK (as outlined in my resume), I have had the privilege of caring for and helping raise three wonderful children. I have been a nanny/au pair for 8 years for a beautiful family in England caring for their then-8 month, 3 & 5 year old children. Fast forward 10 years and now all grown up but consider ourselves family. It has been a fulfilling journey watching them grow and develop into independent individuals, and I am proud to have played a role in their formative years. My tenure with the family not only honed my caregiving skills but also instilled in me the values of patience, responsibility, and adaptability. My recent marriage to an American citizen has prompted my relocation to the US, where I am eager to continue my career Read more in childcare. Having obtained my green card and work authorization, I am excited about the prospect of continuing my work and providing exemplary care for children. I am committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive emotionally, intellectually, and socially. My current role as an educator and teacher assistant at Brookfields Specialist SEN School, a renowned institution recognized for its excellence in education, has further enriched my experience in working with children, particularly those with special needs. I am currently working with a wide variety of special need students, covering all kinds of learning disabilities ranging from moderate to severe. The opportunity to support and facilitate the learning journey of these children has been incredibly rewarding, and I am grateful for the skills and insights I have gained in this capacity. Furthermore, I do have gained additional educational knowledge I can put in place also with neurotypical children. Furthermore, I am fluent (basically mother tongue) in English and possess excellent communication skills, which are essential for effective interaction with both children and parents. Having gone through the immigration process, I can provide full US & International clearance as well as all possible and current vaccinations as required under US law, including but not limited to, recent Covid, general flu shots and chest x-rays screening for TB to name a few.
