A little about me, I started babysitting children on a regular basis at 14 yrs old. At the age of 15 I was offered a temporary part time position at a licensed in-home childcare. Within a year that position became full time. I worked with the same daycare for 17 yrs and helped many of the schools young ones transition from pre-school to kindergarten and beyond. During the course of my employment, I was tasked with implementing a preschool program which required that I plan daily lessons and prepared the older children for kindergarten. I was required to be CPR/First- Aid certified every two years, as well as fingerprinted and background checked through LiveScan (Prior to taking care of any children, I will be renewing these certificates. I anticipate having them renewed by the middle of August 2018). I naturally work well with children of all ages. I have the Read more privilege of being a mother to my two girls aged Ten and Eleven. Approximately four years ago, I took some time off of working to help my daughters transition into 1st and 2nd grade and to allow more involvement in their day to day in the class room. I have been able to volunteer on a weekly basis in the Elementary school my daughters attend. It has been proven time and time again over my career in Childcare that children thrive when they have structure and stability in a loving environment. After a little over 17 years in the childcare field, I take pride in the fact that I can provide this sort of environment at a very high level for, not only my own children, but also other people's. I love working with children and their parents to help facilitate growth and help provide a loving and balanced atmosphere. I am currently enrolling in the necessary classes to allow for me to obtain my ECE Credits, and expect to have those courses completed within the year. My goal is to educate myself further so that I may be the best possible childcare provider that I can be for your children.
