I have extensive experience in child care, from 7 months to 12 years. I’ve cared for as many as six children (parents in building). I assisted with younger children in an unofficial capacity at my summer camp through middle and high school and I’ve provided over-night care for my younger sibling when my parents were on trips. I’ve tutored in reading & English, and highly knowledgeable in writing, history, the arts, and science, and would be happy to assist with homework or homeschooling. I genuinely love learning, and do my best to extend that to my care. I’m a capable and experienced cook, and can adapt to most dietary needs. I don’t have much experience in vegan cooking, but I’m a quick study and adaptable. I’m neurodivergent, and have experience in handling children with ADHD and/or autism. I learned Child and Infant CPR in high school, and am currently in Read more the process of renewing my certification through the Red Cross. I am familiar with first aid, though I’m currently working on official certification. I’m also interested in and intend to take their Advanced Childcare course as soon as I am able. I’m familiar with Spanish, but a touch out of practice. I have a current driver’s license and my own car. I also have a bicycle and experience in using LA’s public transportation. And if desired, I’d be willing to accompany or provide day trips (within reason) In addition, I have extensive experience with pets: primarily cats and dogs, but I also have personal experience caring for turtles, hamsters, and rabbits. I can feed (wet and/or dry, whatever your pet needs!) and water, clean litter boxes, enclosures, and any other hygiene area. I can exercise dogs with walks, general play, and basic agility or skill training. And I can administer oral or topical medication if necessary. I am able and willing to provide slight to moderate house cleaning : Trash and recycling, vacuuming or mopping, plant watering, laundry, kitchen or bathroom cleaning, dishes, general tidying. (If at all possible, a price adjustment would be requested if the above service(s) was desired) I am adaptable, energetic, and compassionate, and I love to hang out with your awesome kiddos!
