I have been nannying and babysitting for over 20 years. It has been a career of mine, & I take a lot of pride in doing my job well. I was a small group support teacher at Montclair Elementary, I have taken childhood development classes and worked in a day care setting as well. I love children of all ages, from babies two teenagers. I am a mother of a 20 year old who is becoming a nurse. I feel like a very successful mother, accomplished pianist, equestrian, musician, and absolutely love animals and the outdoors. I do believe in educational nannying, but I also believe that kids need to be kids and have fun. I also believe in responsibility and I'm very good at tutoring, schlepping kids back and forth to activities, and doing light housework so that I basically and leave the place hopefully cleaner than when I Read more arrived. However my main focus are the children. I am also very trained with animals and have 2 cats of my own. I have some college experience at Cal State Teach Monterey Bay, although I am on a break right now to pay for a mortgage for a new house that my husband and I bought recently. He is also a high school teacher. My main goal eventually would be to either own my own daycare, or be a preschool teacher, and write children's books and short stories. I am a very animated vivacious 40 year old, who is a kid at heart, but with the addition of being responsible adult. I am good friends with many of my employers right now, although nothing steady has come my way because school is starting. I have tons of references, ans will provide them upon request as to not make them busier as they already are! Pee request. However my recommendations are absolutely fantastic, and I am a very reliable loyal fun loving nature loving enthusiastic nanny / babysitter. I feel that I've done and absolutely great job helping to raise many many families and encourage hobbies. For example, I love to teach piano lessons to children and have see one of those children now fully grown up and playing at Yoshi's! Many others are now competing and playing recitals. I am a well traveled woman, born and raised in Oakland, and my family is everything to me. In addition to my family are two cats that I adore. I love to follow the parenting style with every family, & I consider that sacred. Safety first of course. Clean driving record and I also have my BS I'm CIS. Thanks for considering me! I normally do get $20 an hour because it is my career, I'm experienced and I am worth it!!!
