Hello, my name is Laci Malone. I have always loved caring children since I was a little girl. I always played "mommy" with my baby dolls and truly had a passion for taking care of infants. Now that I am twenty-two I am living out my dream by caring for young children. My first babysitting experience was the summer when I turned twelve. That summer while my aunt and uncle went to work I was responsible for my two and three-year-old cousins. That summer I added extra cash to my pocket but also the experience of a lifetime. At a young age I learned what my calling was, and I was good at it. From that point on I was the neighborhood sitter. Once I graduated high school, I got a job at a daycare where I gained the expertise of caring for young infants. Along with that I attended Read more Cuesta College and have completed 15 units of Early Childhood Education courses. For the past three school years I have worked at a local elementary school as a reading teacher. I have always had a passion for caring for children but I absolutely love watching them learn. In the evenings I now attend the University of La Verne in San Luis Obispo to gained a bachelors degree in Education and then my teaching credentials. Along the way I have nannied or babysat for several families and have gained a great amount of knowledge and experience in the process. My theory is you can teach someone procedures and schedules but you cant teach someone to have a passion for children, and I was born with that passion.
