My journey working with kids began in high school I would volunteer at the YMCA. Loved helping and engaging with kids in my community. Then I worked at 24 hour fitness at front desk but my goal was to transfer to kids club where there I worked with kids of all ages making activities for varies age groups. Like crafts and older kids loved to assist the little ones. From there I started working at the YMCA both at the same time. I got my own class of 4th graders who where from all walks of life with a lot of backgrounds. I feel I grew the most at the YMCA. I got to make my own curriculum and learn how to mange 22 kids while they are having fun but most of making sure that they were all safe. Interacted with parents everyday and got to know their kids Read more and them on another level. Making sure every students needs where being met. I had kids who were homeless and always made sure to provide extra snacks or even a nap because the child didn't get enough sleep in her facility while being discrete. Proving my english learners extra help reading and understanding. Helping my special education kids techniques to keep them engaged. These are just a couple things I could go on forever but I love working with kids.
