My love for children began when my single mother had my younger, and only, brother. Being that she worked long hours for us, I had to learn how to care for him by myself when I was 11 years old. This included bathing, feeding, changing diapers, as well as educational activities and nap times. This schedule continued throughout middle and high school, and to a certain degree, still continues today but with different sets of responsibilities. I have been training in Taekwondo for the past 14 years, and teaching there for the past 5. From this, I have developed a love for working with children and giving them the tools that they need to not only be successful, but also be strong hearted and confident individuals. I love seeing them take what they learn and apply it to their school and home lives. The students that I work with on Read more a daily basis range from ages 3 (the youngest that we accept at the school) to 54 (the oldest student that we've had to date). In addition, I have had the pleasure of working with several students with special needs. Working with all of these students throughout the years have taught me that dedicated hard work and patience is key in being successful with not only children but with adults as well. I have taken these lessons and continued to apply them throughout my daily life and have yielded tremendous happiness and success.
