Hello! My name is kena! I am 23. My mom had a horrible experience with a daycare when I was just born so she quit her job and decided to start an in home daycare. I was one when my mom started one out of our home. By age 7 I was “helping”. I learned to feed babies, I knew how to play with kids as I was one myself but even as I have grown up in the environment I still enjoy it! I have a niece and nephew 4 and 6. I have been with them since they were born. I have worked with kids with Down syndrome, Asperger’s, and autism. I have worked and grown up with kids of all ages. My mother held a larger license but usually watched about 20 max at a time. I babysit for many families from age 13 and onward. I Read more have worked with kids of all ages. My mother also ran a preschool out of the home so I helped with projects, learning, and activities of that age as well. Parents trusted me enough to pick up their kids from school! My mom ran the daycare for 22 years! My father worked out of the home until 14 due to an injury on the job. He then came on as a secondary provider and it because the Meinberg family daycare! Kids loved both my parents and me! We were always very close to every child in our care. I learned a lot from holding babies, feeding, homework, snack time, what is and isn’t appropriate, etc. I absolute love and adore kids and just want to be that person a parents can count on to make their children happy but most importantly keep them safe!
