Since a young age, I've learned how to and had experience in caring for children of all ages. After taking a babysitting class as a young teen, I took on babysitting jobs throughout my adolescence. At 17, I began working for a home daycare, where I really began to gain a knowledge of caring for and developing relationships with children on a day in and day out manner. From there, I worked at a preschool center while also taking classes in early childhood development, completing 16 units as well as an associates degree in Liberal Arts. Though I made a move into the business world after a little over a year at the preschool, I never stopped working with children. My knowledge continued to grow through my volunteer work in my church's nursery and Sunday School, volunteering in a children's club called Awana, and consistently babysitting for family & friends. I combined my passion for cooking with my skills in teaching children and began my own business, which focuses on teaching children how to cook, through birthday parties and private school lessons. To supplement the business, I also began working at San Diego's most reputable hotel babysitting service, Marion's Childcare. As I grow my business, I have obtained the position of a full-time cook at a preschool. This position still allows me additional free hours to provide service as a babysitter. My many years of experience with a wide age-range of children, along with my passion to connect with people and build relationships allows me to provide excellent care for one-time or consistent baby-sitting and light-housework services. Diane was such a huge help to me. I hired her as a "mother's helper" to help me with my daughter and light housekeeping and light cooking because I sprained my ankle really badly and my husband is out at sea. She came over and helped me with a ton of laundry, she did some cooking and food prep for me, and she helped me with some light housework all while helping with my three year old daughter. She was professional, super friendly, and very caring! She was wonderful with my daughter. You can tell she loves kids. I would highly recommend her! I have hired her again and cannot wait for her help!
