Hi! My name is Emily Harvey. I am 21 years old and just recently moved to San Diego because I was accepted into San Diego Mesa College's Physical Therapist Assistant program. I am from Redding, CA which is about two hours north of Sacramento. In Redding I worked countless babysitting/ nanny jobs. I have babysat kids from ages 3 months-13 years old and have experience with special needs children as well. In Redding I was very involved in youth sports/ summer camps. I worked as a camp leader for a summer camp, ages 6-12, for three summers. The job required daily indoor/outdoor games, activities, art projects, lesson plans, and kept me on my toes! I am CPR/First Aid Certified. I have also completed Basic Water Rescue certifications because the camps spent a lot of time at the community pool. The job required a full week of staff training for new Read more employees. That job lead me to other City of Redding opportunities, I coached grasshopper soccer for the City of Redding which is children ages 4-6. I also coached 6th grade girls basketball for the local middle school that I myself attended. I have volunteered many hours putting on softball clinics through my high school and college years. I have also been paid to give private softball lessons to middle school aged girls. I love kids. My mom is a 4th grade teacher and I love volunteering my time in her classroom, helping with art projects or school water days. I am extremely active and love everything about sports, swimming, hiking, biking, and the outdoors. I am very kid-friendly and always bring a positive, up-beat attitude!
