Hello, my name is Yajaira Zarate, I am 27 years old and I graduated from Chico state with a major in Kinesiology: Physical Education teaching. I have a passion for working with kids. I have been babysitting since I was 15 years old. I've had multiple nanny and babysitting jobs throughout college. I am Lifeguard certified which includes First aid, CPR and Title 22 certifications. I have experience student teaching at the elementary level and middle school level. I can also come up with activities for your kids to engage in high quality physical activity if you'd like and I am bilingual in Spanish. I have previous experience of volunteering and working with kids of all ages between infants to up to 16 years old. I did observations and did some group student teaching at the Chico State Child Development Lab. I became a full time nanny during the pandemic. I worked with a family who had 2 twin boys and an older sister. I was with this family for 2 years and then when the twins started preschool I started working with a different family, also full time. I have been with my current family since January 2022. The kids are now 2 (boy) and 4(girl) years old. Nannying has become a career for me and it has been one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had. Helping kids grow and learn and challenge their minds is truly amazing and such an important job. My focus with this job is making sure kids are always engaging in developmentally appropriate activities and giving them as many learning opportunities as possible while still learning through play and being outdoors. I specialize in taking kids on outings and adventures such as: hiking, bike riding, climbing, swimming, etc. I also have and am willing to travel with families such as going on vacations, trips, and also open to doing overnights and weekend stays. I currently work with 2-3 other families and do occasional date nights/overnight stays. Im currently looking to help as many families as I can. I am open to any full time or part time jobs as the family I work with full time right now will no longer be needing my services since both kiddos will be going to school full time. I am excited to be a part of a new and or many new families!
