Hello! My name is Veronica and I am a senior psychology major at Point Loma Nazarene University. As I have engaged with little ones or have learned about them in psychology classes, my overarching goal as a sitter is to meet children with gentleness, unconditional positive regard, with a bit of goofiness. :) I have a tender spot for the own inner child within me, so it is a gift whenever I get to spend time with a little nugget and provide a sense of warmth and comfort for them. I currently also work as a freshman resident assistant (RA), which has been my job for the past three years. Though a different age group, I feel an overarching call to make space for others so they feel safe and welcomed, just as they are. I feel a sense of advocacy and tenderness toward my residents, which is what drives Read more my work toward caring for those younger than me. Through my psychology career, I have learned that above all, we are relational beings. No man is an island, entire of itself. We are meant to care and make space for one another. I believe my personal strengths are empathy, emotional intelligence, advocacy, self-awareness, and being able to hold my own. I have demonstrated responsibility through managing two jobs at a time while being a student, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I have developed my interpersonal skills through my work in residential life and in customer service. It would be an honor to dedicate my time to extend myself to care for those worthy of unconditional love, acceptance, and care.
