A little about me: I am currently a student and will be attending university in the fall to become a early elementary school teacher! At a local elementary school, I am a student teacher working in first grade classrooms. I work with kids from all different backgrounds and needs. I work closely with children with autism (ASD), attention disorders and many more. In my free time I love to hang out with my friends, do crafts, puzzles, crosswords, sudoku, and perform in my school plays, musicals, and improv shows. Background/Qualifications: -Taken courses in child development and psychology (studying growth in utero up to age 7) -I have experience caring for infants as young as 3 months. -First aid and CPR trained and certified - non-smoker (including vapes/juul/e-cigs) -basic water safety/rescue training - special needs experience (ages 0-18+) - valid drivers license I understand how scary and difficult it must be Read more to leave your child with someone. Coming into your home I will meet with you and ensure that I am caring for your child the way you want them to be cared for. This includes sticking to routines/house rules, and if necessary, using the same discipline strategies/methods you, yourself use. In my experience, when the babysitter has the same expectations and consequences as parent/guardian has, the transition between the two is smoother (less meltdowns when trying to get out of the house), and it is an overall better experience for both child and caregiver/nanny/babysitter.

Report

Trustline is California's official background check for license-exempt child care providers (i.e. babysitters and nannies) and the only authorized screening program in California with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and access to the California Child Abuse Central Index. The Trustline registry toll-free telephone number is 1-800-822-8490.

Pursuant to Section 1596.859 of the Health and Safety Code, parents have the right to receive information regarding any substantiated or inconclusive complaint about licensed child care providers. That information is public and can be acquired by visiting the California Department of Social Services' Internet Web site at "www.cdss.ca.gov".
