Hi, My name is Andrea but friends and family call me Drea. I am from Los Angeles but moved to the Bay Area in 2013. I am fully vaccinated, fluent in English and Spanish, and currently work FT M-F caring for two infants. I am available for babysitting gigs in the evens and/or weekends. One thing I look for in a family is clear communication. It is important that parents and I are on the same page so that we can truly work as a team. Over the last eight years there, I have worked with children as; A lead teacher at a daycare, Tutor, Arts and Crafts Instructor , and a Nanny / Babysitter. Having taken courses in Childhood Development and working for a number of families Read more over the years, I have learned that there are a variety of philosophies when it comes to raising a child. I have had to first hand practice these philosophies in order to adequately fulfill my role as a caregiver and help with a child's day to day development. Depending on the child/s age and interest a day with me may look a bit different. Some things I enjoy doing are; Sensory play, Imaginary play, Arts and Crafts, Science Experiments , Story Time, Sport Activities, Dance Parties (toddlers especially love this!) I usually do this before a nap time and end with story time. It's a great way to tire them out… Life hack! Outings such as; park time, museums, walks around the neighborhood, library visits, etc.. Other tasks that I have been assigned to do in the past have been Help with Laundry, Meal Prep, Potty Training, Bath Time, and Sleep Training . Children are filled with curiosity and the want to learn. Witnessing them navigate through life and learn is something I truly enjoy being apart of.
