Hello! I’m Lexie- a recent Mills College grad with a degree in psychology with honors. Before transferring to Mills, I studied Early Childhood Education at Seattle Central College and I plan to continue my education with a masters in psych or social work. As I work on my grad school apps this year, I would love to continue working with kids as I did throughout undergrad. I have more than 8 years of private childcare experience as a nanny and sitter, with several families maintaining 4+ year working relationships. I’ve also volunteered and worked with many children’s orgs through the years, including in a pediatric ICU, with a wonderful non-profit called Comfort Zone Camp which focuses on grieving children, and I helped create the first LGBTQIA+ children’s camp in Northern California. I greatly enjoy spending time with kids and watching them flourish into their own humans! I currently have a Read more very flexible schedule and am available most days and times. While I do not have a car (city girl here), I do have an impeccable driving recording and would be willing to drive a family car, or use Lyft/Uber/Public Transportation to take your child(ren) on adventures or simple school pick-ups. My favorite part of being a nanny is enriching children’s minds with new ideas and building their imaginations, so I can often be found planning new art activities, packing picnics to take to new parks, or planning excursions to the Exploratorium or Golden Gate Park! Outside of nannying, I spend my time adventuring around the bay area with my partner (despite growing up here, there is always a new spot to explore!) spoiling my two wacky cats, and volunteering for social justice causes. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have or with any possible job opportunities!
