Meet Hannah

  • Comfortable with pets

I have been a nanny in Florida and in Hawai'i. I have spent a lot of time with special needs children, I am open to all families that need a helping hand. Working with autistic children throughout the years I have developed a strong connection and passion for facilitating a safe and loving vibe for children who have a heightened connection and responsiveness to every element of their environment. Sometimes there is overwhelm and they are in need of soothing, in my experience working with autistic children, creating an engaging sensory outlet for excess energy works best. Sensory engagement creates focus. I am the oldest kid in my family and my younger cousins are both autistic, growing up with them taught me so much. It is important to nurture, accept, and empower children. Encouraging children to set their sights high and that there is no limitation to the things that Read more they can achieve. Childcare is so much more than a “job” it is a lifestyle. When you play a part in a child’s life it is your duty to uplift them in every way, being the best role model possible at all times. I do not take the task lightly but I don't take myself *too* seriously I love being silly and helping children feel accepted. I am Lifeguard certified through Red Cross, this certification includes CPR/First aid. I was certified as an Emergency First Responder through PADI to initiate my rescue diver training, this certification includes a more advanced CPR/First Aid than Red Cross. I have rescued people on the water over my time spent as a kayak tour guide and lifeguard in Hawai’i (1yr experience). I work well under pressure and I am comfortable taking on a healer role when I needed I have taken nonviolent communication classes and I find the application of NVC to be very beneficial. Bottom line; I love kids, being a positive impact on developing minds is important to me, and I would love to support your family! Thank you for reading, Hannah Wise
