Hello! My name is Brooklin and I am from a family of five, born the middle child with a younger and an older brother. I was blessed to grow up in a stable, loving home (and to consider my family some of my closest friends), with parents who were both actively involved in the home, serving the community together where I grew up! In my spare time, I love to travel, to spend time outdoors through camping and hiking with friends and family, and reading! As an extrovert, I love to be surrounded by people, and teaching has been one of my deepest passions! I value education as one of the most important resources we have. I was originally born in Orange County, California, but have spent my childhood with my family in cross-cultural settings in Ecuador. While I raised in an English-speaking home, I have grown up in a Read more predominately Spanish-speaking culture, so both languages are close to home. I have seen first-hand the value and impact that education has in changing people’s lives and providing opportunities, which has deepened my love for teaching and my desire to advocate for children and provide quality education and care. My favorite thing about working with children is their curiosity and enthusiasm, and the unique perspectives each brings to any learning environment! I have grown up babysitting/nannying in various settings, from here in Orange County to overseas in Ecuador. I love working with children which has led me to pursue a career in education. I am currently pursuing my BA in Elementary Education with ESL and Bilingual Education endorsements and a Spanish minor, and am in an accelerated Master's program for TESOL and Intercultural Studies at Wheaton College. I have served as a Children’s Program Teacher, a camp coordinator, a preschool Athletics Assistant Coach, an academic tutor/mentor. I have babysat for children from infant age to teens and am comfortable with multiple children. I am fluent in Spanish and English, love the outdoors, love being creative, and am highly motivated, energetic, and look forward to partnering with you through caring for/tutoring/nannying your children!
