Meet Sarah

  • Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Speaks English
  • Comfortable with pets

Thanks for taking the time to read my profile! I have always loved kids & have spent most of my adult life looking after kids from newborns up to teaching them to drive! While I have had other careers during that time, I have always been able to return to taking care of kids, which is what I love to do. I am currently working toward a degree in nursing. I am a Certified Nurse Assistant with a Basic Life Support (CPR) card that includes infant rescue. I am first aid (infant through adult) trained & have all my pre-nursing class knowledge to aid in caring for your kiddo(s). My class schedule is flexible & allows me some leeway. All my coursework is online through May 2024 at least. I have had the honor & privilege of working for several families starting at age 19 & as recently as 2022. Read more I have also worked for an infant child care group, a nannying agency in SF where I could have as many as two brand new families in a day, as a summer camp director for youth aged 9-19, & many other wonderful families as both date night child care up to 40+ hours a week for months to years. My favorite age group is newborn through preschool. Still, I am just as comfortable with the big kiddos, helping with homework, attending after-school activities, & starting dinner. I am happy to help around the house with laundry, basic house care as needed, & some meal prep. My style of childcare is active, engaging, enriching, flexible, & always fun! I love to take little ones on walks where we explore the outside world & learn through playtime. I am a big fan of reading & music. I am happy to adjust & adapt to your household needs & styles as long as I feel like the kids can still be cared for by me in a safe manner (the family who insisted I couldn't use the word "no" or any other "constricting" or "negative" language was a little tricky to handle when their child was unruly & was in the "hit everyone" phase). When not working, I love to hang out with family & explore the Bay Area with my boyfriend. I am a Bay Area native-born in South Bay & currently living in the Mission in SF. I love cooking (my bf is a chef, so I do more baking lately) & finding new succulents to collect or look at in nature! I look forward to chatting with you & learning more about your little ones, what kind of care you're looking for, & finding a good fit. I know trusting someone to look after your child isn't easy. I would love to be a part of helping your family & caring for your little one(s)!
