I am a stay-at-home mom - ie an experienced parent- to an awesome 6 year old! (Please see below for my hours as I am free while he is at school. If you don't mind me briefly leaving or bringing your little one with me to pick him up and having my boy at your house, my hours are vastly more expansive. For the record, he's REALLY excited at the idea! You can view my clean driving report on here - my car is up to date on checks and totally safe or I wouldn't have my son in it!- and my Finn is respectful, gentle, non-destructive, friendly, and lovely!). I haven't met a little one I didn't get along with (literally. Not one. Although I am in a winning battle with a very serious 1 year old at pickup. and am probably the most creative person you'll ever meet Read more (I've turned my entire living room into a very, very elaborate, interactive forest, built a huge pirate ship for my small sir, built a life sized coral reef for fun... I could go on and on). I'm also energetic, patient, and a very positive person in general. All moments are teachable ones and all teachable moments can be ones delivered with love. I absolutely adore children! Pets are absolutely welcome (I have a cat and a large dog). I have an undergrad degree from NYU, am very smart and quick to adapt, and am the Room-Parent for my son's class (purely because I really do love kids!!). (I put 6 years of "paid" childcare experience because even though I haven't technically been a paid sitter in the past, I think being a full-time mother counts!) My available hours (LONGER if the aforementioned allowances regarding my son are ok with you): between 8:15 and 2:30 M-Th between 8:15 and 11:30 Friday I see the "Adventures" section of this site.... honestly? I don't even know where to start. Experiences/Adventures are at the core of my entire parenting life and method. I can make anything out of anything and love to go off the cuff. Any challenge: accepted (to quote my son, "making things is your whole world, mom!"). They want a project? Let's go. The amazing added benefit to that is that kids get to see that there is NOTHING that can't become ANYTHING. Happy to show you my projects!! I also want you to know how important it is to me to be YOUR biggest fan for your kids. Any time I spend with anyone's children, I feel a need to be their parents' biggest cheerleader. You are ALWAYS present and primary even if you aren't physically there.
