Hey! I’m Kayla, I’m 27 years old. I graduated in 2013 from PVHS here in Santa Maria. Of course, I enjoyed my young new adult life learned my lesson. At 22 I decided that college attitude would not suffice. At 23 I met my daughters father and we ended up getting pregnant, having a babygirl, Sage. We have lived here on the Central Coast for 12 years. Santa Maria for 3 years. Sage just turned two in July. A year ago I became a full time single mom, unable to go to work because of the inability to afford child care, rent, bills, routine with babygirl changing etc.. Having my daughter 24hrs a day everyday of the week doing it alone was rough very rewarding but rough, emotionally, physically & mentally. We stayed home worked on our numbers, letters, colors and learning to talk and walk. She started walking one Read more week after her first birthday. Learning ASL seeing how alert Sage was, that I was able to share these moments with her and see the enjoyment she got from being hands on. I then started to get more comfortable with COVID bit, since some family’s are more cautious. We would go to the park, meet new mommy’s, even the experienced mommy’s. We loved the environment. I thought why not work as a nanny, babysitter, care provider. I have the experience in child care, why not. As well with elderly individuals that needed/could use emotional & physical support in/around the home. Providing a safe, clean, calm environment for whomever I’m providing care too. Whether it’s a newborn, child or the elderly.. I do vape, however I keep them out of reach. Outdoors away from child(den). I’m personally do not smoke weed, but I am not against it.
