I am a bubbly and nurturing caretaker who, even at the age of 28, loves to play and use my imagination. I am always inspiring creativity in myself through acting, dance, and teaching. I am very outgoing and active - you will constantly find me running, hiking and biking all over the Santa Monica parks and beaches. My love for the arts is only rivaled by my passion for educating children and encouraging them to strive towards excellence. My interest in acting is only rivaled by my love for teaching children and inspiring them to play and use their imaginations too. Currently, I am working with Jilly Jazz Kids teaching children creative movement with their body as well as teaching beginning jazz dance choreography. The joy and freedom the kids have when singing and dancing to their favorite song is a precious moment that reminds me of how important it Read more is to celebrate ourselves and each other on a daily basis. In college, I was a swim instructor for kids from ages 1-13. This is actually where I fell in love with teaching to begin with. I had the opportunity to use my own creativity with games and sing-a-longs to encourage children to not only feel confidant swimming in the water, but more importantly confidence in themselves. I was then a nanny for a family in Greenwich, Connecticut where I developed a personal relationship with the kids and worked with them on daily activities such as reading, math, tennis, swimming, ect. With much of my experience, I have developed many lesson plans and activities that obtain just the right balance of structure, leadership and playfulness. I firmly believe a healthy balance of leadership and playfulness will help guide children in igniting their own creativity, thus helping them evoke the artistry in themselves. Art is an inspiration for possibilities. It is the foundation for all things that make us unique and passionate individuals. It helps us to become grounded in ourselves and connected to one another. It is at the core of who we are. If I can do anything to help that journey for a child start early, bringing a little more happiness and freedom in their life, I will absolutely do it.
