Hello! I have enjoyed babysitting, nannying, caregiving, and mothering over the course of most of my life. I began as a teen in my neighborhood and continued caring for children part-time while in college and working other jobs, right up until I had children of my own. My husband and I have raised four children, now adults and have flown the coop. I sincerely miss children! They are such a joy, so funny, curious, authentic, and precious. Because it was always very important to me to remain available and involved, mothering/homemaking was my main job during my children's growing years (for which I have no regrets)! I also have experience with developmentally disabled children, as I formerly worked with Easter Seals and Nolan Services. Now that I'm a young "empty nester," I find myself wanting to be involved with children again. I value a healthy lifestyle, which includes cooking and Read more eating nutritiously, exercising, gardening, spending time with friends, and learning new things. I recently ended a caregiving job with a lady with Parkinson's, but because of an injury respite from physically demanding work became necessary. Presently I care for children on a part-time basis and have room for more part-time childcare. I also have experience caring for animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, and smaller creatures. I'd be honored to come alongside you to help with the most important task of caring for your greatest asset, your children. My husband and I came to Petaluma for a wedding. This was the first time we left our 7 month old with anyone but family, so you can imagine how nervous we were. Catherine put all our nerves at ease with her calling presence and thoughtful demeanor. If we lived closer, we would use her as our everyday sitter. We really appreciated her and how we could enjoy the wedding knowing our daughter was in good hands!
