My babysitting days started when I was around 12 years old (that is when I started getting paid to babysit). I come from a family of six and being the second oldest, I was a live-in babysitter for my mom. I have a brother with special needs, so I grew up learning how to deal with difficult situations that arose. I worked at the YMCA where I learned many tools for caring for children. I have cared for kids ranging from newborn to 16. I have experience with overnight care and working with ADHD, autism. Aspergers, and other behavioral difficulties. I have always been passionate about caring and working with kids. I love spending time with children and watching them grow, while assisting parents in any way that I can. I also spent time living in a retirement home when I was 19 where I took care of my great Read more grandmother until she passed. It was an amazing experience for me and taught me things I will never forget. I am also certified by the International Nanny Society. I have worked with a family with 6 kids where I gained several years of experience with newborn and toddler care while also managing multiple kids all at once! My most recent jobs consisted of working with twins starting at 3 months old until over a year and another set of twins until they were 3. I handle any situation with patience, care, and understanding that is best suited for the needs of the children and always maintain a positive attitude while I work. I am currently getting my bachelors in psychology and a minor in child development. My long-term goal is to become a licensed MFT and work with children and adolescents.
